For those of you (and this may be most of you!) who are moms, well, you’ll know how crazy things can get – I’ve had a sick child and husband, a broken down car – and, of course, Mother’s Day on top of all that! Anyway, my apologies!

Of course, we hope that all of you had a wonderful Mother’s Day, and that all you moms out there were really spoiled. As it was Mother’s Day, we hope that we can inspire you, and even spoil you a little – for our reveal we decided to utilize a template and show you our own interpretations of it. And many have also created special, mother-honouring pages, as well!

Our inspiration was this template:

Our first layout is one by Elaine Dennison.

She writes: “I used Serenity by DigiZines by Teri.  The photo is my mother during high school taken a one of those self serve photo booths with one her friends. My mom was a very courageous woman who suffered with constant pain and partial deafness.  Most people were unaware of either condition; a tribute to fortitude and perseverance.”

I somehow managed to make two. My first.

Featured are my two boys and my oldest son’s best friend at the opening of the Madagascar Exhibit at the Bermuda Aquarium Museum and Zoo.

I used “Spring Puddles” by Dee Bee Designs.

And my second.

It features pictures of my mom and I taken at Sears when we caught up together in New Jersey. She lives in Australia and I in Bermuda, so we don’t see each other very often.
I used “Paper Flutter Bytes Set 1″ by Sweet Spot Designs, “Art Collection Vol. 3″ and “Art Collection Vol. 1″ by Malacima, and “Spring Puddles” by Dee Bee Designs.

Astrid created 2 layouts using Again Rain. This kit includes some very interesting rain effects as well as various rainy day staples, and works with both indoor and outdoor photos.

Mary put her page together using the kit Home Sweet Home. Here you’ll find everything you need to recreate that homey feeling.

My 3 layouts are also from the kit Home Sweet Home. I discovered that the papers and elements in this kit work with both heritage and current day pictures.

Betsy lives with her husband & friend of 31 years, and a multitude of animals in a small town in Oregon. Their two girls are grown; one married, and managing a beauty shop. The other working on her second masters in school counseling. So except for the noise from the animals (yes, there is a parrot involved!), its gotten pretty quiet. A perfect time for Betsy to get back in the creative swing. She has sold one of a kind designer dolls before and got into the digital world about three years ago. Now it is a rare day when you don’t find her tapping away at her lap-top.

She spends her free time reading, taking photos, and playing with her Dog ‘Indiana Bones’. She is a lover of all things sci-fi and fantasy and conversely anything antique. She is brimming with new ideas for digital kits, that she can’t wait to share with you!

Hi! I’m Vicki and I design under the name GreenEyedLady Designs. I’m an Air Force brat who spent my early years moving from base to base in the U.S. and Europe. I moved to California in the early ’70′s and spent several years as a paralegal. I met my DH (Charlie) while working at a law firm and because we lived in “Silicon Valley” I decided to try my hand in the high tech industry. I spent the rest of my career being very geeky and am still a total tech junkie! Once my step-children had safely (and permanently) left the nest, we retired to a small community in the Sierra foothills, a couple of hours from Yosemite, California.

Aside from my sweet addiction to tech gadgets (I admit it … I have an iPhone AND an iPad!!), I love to golf and have become quite proficient! I also love taking nature photographs – our foothills have tons of wildlife and I’ve even managed to get great shots of the bobcat that has been wandering around! Once I started taking pictures, though, I realized I needed to do something with them. At some point in 2007, I was searching through the forums at Photoshop Elements Village (PET) and came across something called “digital scrapbooking.” I had never paper-scrapped, but the idea was very appealing because I could do something fun with my pictures AND have an excuse to buy more software! By 2008 I was digi scrapping like crazy and I started designing in 2010.

Lately, I’ve become totally enchanted with mixed media and altered art – it’s “no rules” mindset is very freeing! I’ve got several art journals going and I’m working on incorporating mixed media into my digital products.

In our house, we prefer to call it Resurrection Sunday – it holds very deep and special meaning to our family, as we celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ, He who died, and was returned to life.

I hope that your day will be equally as special, and that you too will know and celebrate the joy of Easter, this day that commemorates the very cornerstone of the Christian faith.

This week, the wonderful ladies on my team have worked very hard to bring some Easter and spring-themed pages to inspire you.

Laura, aka Art-Teacher, recently created this adorable page, “I Love Spring,” featuring the “Shabby Memories” kit by Courtney’s Digiscrappin’.

Erica created some darling pages as well. The first is “Happy Face” and features the kit, “My Vintage Easter,” by Aneczka W Designs, and also uses pieces from Julie Mead’s accessory kit, “Doilies and Circle Stitches,” from the “Hats Off to Autumn” line.

Her other page is called, “With Daddy.” It also features papers from Aneczka W’s “My Vintage Easter” kit, as well as a cluster from Malacima’s “Holiday Wishes” Cluster set.

She also created these two sets of adorable Easter tags to put on her gifts!

And I created these two pages from photos taken on Good Friday and Saturday.

The first is my sister and and her darling daughter, loving each other up at my church picnic on Good Friday (yup, it’s a public holiday here in Bermuda!). “Rebecca & Evie” features the kit, “First Blush,” by Pamela Rose Designs.

The second is “Easter Egg Hunt,” which features my two sons hunting out our Resurrection Eggs in the front yard (each egg held a part of the Easter story, instead of candy). It was made using a template from SUS Designs’ “Simple Shapes Templates” set, and “April Awe,” also by SUS Designs.

Astrid chose to work with Kiss Me. This kit celebrates love of family. Many of the 68 elements in this kit were hand-drawn and the mix of colors makes it suitable for both boys and girls! Astrid puts these elements to great use, creating clusters around her photos in two layouts that focus on her family.

Mary selected Treasured Composition as the kit to showcase her carefree snapshots of friendship. The elements and colors of this kit give it a vintage feel, perfect for working with heritage photos as well as those current day photos that you’ll treasure forever.

I found the kit All Boy to be the perfect match for recent pictures I took of my nephews. These boys are definitely (and adorably) all boy, and the colors and elements included in Courtney’s newest offering fit the bill. With its youthful feel, All Boy is appropriate for scrapping boys from toddlerhood to high school.

Courtney was also inspired to create a couple of new layouts with All Boy and incorporated many of the fun doodle elements into her pages. In First BBQ she uses the anchored tags to frame her journaling. She makes her pictures pop in the layout So Cool by using both polaroid-style and stitched frames on each.
