Julie Mead
(owner and designer of www.e-scapeandscrap.net)
Julie has a passion for creating. From her garden to her sketch pad, from the kitchen to her camera, she enjoys the process of creating at all levels. Julie has also been fascinated with technology and all the cool things it can do for her. Combining these two passions, creating and computer technology, has led her to discover the joy of digital scrapbooking. Julie began paper scrapping many years ago to capture the joys her children brought into her life. During the fall of 2003 she picked up a magazine that talked about a new hobby, digiscrapping. After surfing many sites, Julie discovered that she had a passion for this new and interesting hobby. Then, during the summer of 2004 her mind began to turn to thoughts of creating her own backgrounds and elements. She developed her first CD called "Julie Mead's From Girly to Grungy" and began to research how to promote her first product. On a whim, she decided to open her own website and see if she could sell her products online. Julie gave herself one year to see if her new site, E-scape and Scrap, would be a success. She has been thrilled at the the reception her online boutique has recieved in the digital scrapping world. But more importantly, she has enjoyed meeting people from around the world, many have become friends she keeps in close contact. The year, 2010, will mark the beginning of E-scape and Scrap's seventh year in business.
Julie has 2 grown children, a daughter and a son, and one grandson. She has been married to her husband for 30 years. Her family loves to get together as often as possible. Julie is a full-time kindergarten teacher in her small rural community. Running her online boutique is a challenge but one that she thorougly enjoys. You can also find her designs at www.acherryontop.com and www.cottagearts.net . She was part of a team of designers that created a memory book for the TV show, Extreme Makeover: Home Edition. Her work has been published in numerous magazines. She has also had an article published in the Digital Scrapbooking Magazine. In the summer of 2005 she was a featured digital artist in the magazine, Simply Sentiments.
Julie currently serves on the advisory board for Scrapbook Dimensions Magazine, where digital and paper come together as hybrid scrapping. Julie also writes photography editing programs using Photoshop for Artisan Notebook, an online magazine available at the E-scape and Scrap Boutique.---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Kay Eflin
(design team member)
Kay and collage were meant for each other combining years of creative hobbies into one expressionÑdigital scrapbooks. She discovered digital when converting 35mm slides into photos for her daughterÕs surprise birthday album. She prefers the paper scrap look in both her design work and digital layouts. Kay loves scrapping heritage photos of family because they have a tie to the past, and the pictures of her grandchildren point to the future. When Kay lost her husband suddenly, she began scrapping and journaling immediately to help her through the grieving process and discovered a way to assist others in honoring their loved ones. As a digital designer, sheÕs an idea person and works well in a team where she contributes to the overall success of a project. Kay is the proud mother of three adult children and four grandchildren. Her company, Kollage by Kay, creates digital scrapbooks for local clients and has become a satisfying home-based business. Her two daughters, Pam and Sarah, both share her love of scrapbooking and often contribute to her creative efforts. Her hobbies include reading, travel, creative writing and enjoying the beautiful mountains near her home in Denver.

Erica Nunez
(creative team member)
Erica Jessica Nunez, 35 yrs old (12/28/1971), married to Pablo since November 2001; with three little angels, Francisco 8, Marina 6, Emily 4, She lives in Miami Lakes , Florida.
She was born in Guayaquil, Ecuador. While living there she worked for 10 years as an assistant manager in a company that sells generators and engines. While working there she met her husband. Shortly after that she came to the USA on March 10, 2002.
She has been digiscrapping since January 2005, but before that she was a paper scrapper. She developed this hobby when her sister-in-law, who was at the time a consultant for a scrapbooking company, gave her a present for her upcoming baby girl, Emily. It was a mini kit to make a little album, and she hooked up with paper for a while.
After doing some research on the computer about die cuts and new backgrounds she discovered a web site with the words DIGITAL SCRAPBOOKING. It immediately caught her attention and she started reading and checking other sites. That's how her real passion was born. She didn't have any previous experience designing layouts on the computer , but she taught herself and did a lot of reaading and researching. She started designing with Microsoft Picture it 7.0, and a new hobby began. Right now she only designs with Microsoft digital Image Suite Edition 2006. It was an experience that she'll never forget. Her style is very simple and free. She likes to get her inspiration for a layout with the kit itself by using the colors or with the pictures too. For her, designing layouts is her PASSION.
Erica's fun, colorful, and inspiring blog can be found here:

Lisa Campbell
(creative team member)
Starting digital scrapping in June of 2005, after deciding to start paper scrapping and accidently picking up a digital scrapping magazine, Lisa (aka scoobie81) never even got out the paper supplies she had purchased! Lisa prefers simple, uncluttered layouts and works to try new techniques as well as some artsy looks.
Lisa's originally from Montana and now resides outside of Seattle, WA with her husband of 32 years. Her 2 children have provided her with 3 grandchildren (and 3 extended grandkids) that give her lots of material for scrapping! Always being creative, she's done all forms of painting, pottery, stained glass, ceramics, needle crafts, and sewing since 9 years old. Besides the creative side, Lisa also rides her Arabians, scuba dives, bike rides, loves to read and travel. She's been a real estate broker for many years and is currently also working on an e-commerce project.

Lynn Weber
(creative team member)
Lynn is a hobby person. Through the years she has dabbled in a multitude of arts and crafts-quilting, furniture refinishing, cake decorating, candlemaking, counted cross-stitch, knitting, macramŽ (remember that?) quilling, all kinds of sewing, photo developing, paintingÉwell, you get the idea! She began paper scrapping about twelve years ago but, when she discovered digital scrapping in November of 2004, all the other hobbies were forgotten! Most of her layouts have a paper scrapped look but she likes to try new things too. She uses PSCS3 to do her design work.
Lynn has been married to Dick for 40 years! They have five grown children and eight grandchildren, none of whom live in their state, Ohio, so they travel a lot! Her laptop accompanies her all around the country so she can keep up with her scrapping! Lynn also recently acquired a Canon 40D and is hoping to improve her photography skills so she has better photos to scrap! She is a retired first grade teacher and has started a photo editing and photo restoration business and teaches photo editing classes.

Joanne Paquette

Joanne lives in Australia and feels very blessed to live in such a beautiful place. She has been married for 24 years and has 2 lovely girls named Naomi and Emily. Her husband is American and Australian (the best of both worlds!) They live in a small coastal town with a small population, They spend most of their free time in the great outdoors enjoying the beautiful coast. Everything they do involves water such as fishing, diving, and just being lazy on the beach. She has been digital scrapping for about a year and loves the freedom it allows such as changing things to suit the layout. She is also an artist and paints photorealism. She does color consulting for her job along with decorative painting. She loves her life and everything that is around her. She feels very blessed, indeed!

Ruth Davis
(designer and creative team member)
I love art. All forms. I love to paint and pencil sketch, however both of these have really taken a back seat to digital art. I do still dabble and I like to incorporate my art into my digital creations. The day that I googled "digital scrapping" is a day that really changed my life. Quickly addicted, I began pouring myself into layouts. Layouts about my children, layouts about my past, layouts about me. Little did I know, that this would become a journey of self discovery, inner strength and freedom. Little did I know, that I would become a designer through wonderful support and encouragement from members of this fantastic team. And, little did I know, that I would create strong and true friendships. Grateful, I am.

Carol Opalinski
(creative team member)
Carol and her husband, John, live in Chattanooga, TN. They have two sons, Alex, a student at Middle Tennessee State University and Michael, a high school student. They also have two cats, Kitty and Ping, who are often the subject of Carol's photos and layouts as they are slightly more cooperative than her sons. Carol started digiscrapping two years ago with a Scrap Book program from Walmart and was instantly hooked but outgrew the program in less than a month. At the urging of her sons she began learning Photoshop, an ongoing process to this day. Albeit with a little less head banging than in the beginning. Besides her family and digiscrapping, Carol's other interests include photography, cross stitching and folk art painting. To help support her crafting habits, Carol works part time as an administrative assistant in a small United Methodist church.

married to the love of my life, my rock and caregiver Jon. We live in Phoenix, AZ. and yes it is a dry heat! LOL.In my spare time I love

recouping and getting used to a new lifestyle. I began searching online for crafts/scrapbook trends and discovered digi-scrapping! and
the rest they say is history! I LOVE the friendliness and helpfulness of the scrapping community! I've made some great friends along the way and look forward to this new adventure!
If anyone has any questions about myself , injuries or scrapping related- ask away! Nothing is off limits- well we might have 1 or 3
that are but we're an open book and I love to talk/type!!! I am really excited to be part of the team here, working with
and getting to know each of you.
Hugs, Karen

Laura Madden
(creative team member)
My name is Laura, screenname Art_Teacher. I have been paper scrapbooking for 14 years and digi scrapping for 3 years. I consider myself bi-scraptual, because I can never give up my art supplies! I am currently on the digi CT at A Cherry On Top and I am thrilled to be on the CT here at E-scape and Scrap! My favorite scrappy subjects are my spoiled golden doodle, Paisley, and my family. I have been married to my dh, Mike, for the past 19 years, and we have no children, but my teaching high school art for the past 16 years keeps me very busy with lots of kids. When I am not scrapbooking, I like to read romance and mystery novels, listen to a variety of music, watch way too much television and too many movies, and cook. I also spend too much time on the computer, where I have met so many new scrappy friends! Someday, I hope to actually catch up to my photos, but since I am a snap-happy camera-toter, that probably won’t be anytime soon!

I only wish I had known about scrapping when my boys were babies. About 2 years ago, I started digital scrapping and it is now my favorite Òcrafty thingÓ to do. I will never give up my paper supplies, as it is still fun to sit down and play with it. I also enjoy photography, knitting, writing poetry and making jewelry.
I am on two other Creative Teams and I am overjoyed that Julie invited me to be on her CT.

Sara Westhead
(Creative Team Member)
Born in New York City, Sara moved to Bermuda with her family when she was 8 years old, where she was raised. She began paper scrapping at the age of 15 with the help of a giant construction-paper, wire-bound Mead craft book, rubber cement and all the Hallmark stickers she could find, in order to create a memorable book of her first missionary trip. Her passion to record memories in book form only continued when she moved on to university in the US and discovered some of the earlier Pioneer scrapbooking products at her local Michael's.
Originally trained as a youth pastor, Sara went on to teach English in China, and then become a journalist, specializing in Religion and Special Features, at both of Bermuda's major newspapers. While working at one of those papers, she was introduced to ad design, using Photoshop and QuarkXpress on the Mac, which proved to be extremely useful when she discovered digital scrapbooking 4 years ago!
Now residing in West Yorkshire, England, with her husband of nearly 9 years, Andrew, and her sons, Tommy, 7, and Jonny, 4, Sara lives for creating. She teaches various paper crafting techniques at several local stores and also runs her own custom scrapbooking company, My Happy Scrapbooks (www.happyscrapbook.co.uk). She has been widely published within the UK, and works on the creative teams of several designers and websites.
In addition to digital, paper and hybrid scrapbooking and altering, Sara's other hobbies include teaching Sunday School at church, writing a regular column for the local newspaper, reading, playing on Facebook, and driving her boys wherever they need to go, and recently discovered jewellery making!

Elaine Dennison
(Creative Team Member)
My name is Elaine and most often use Lainey as my online name. It's a nickname that my grandmother bestowed on me when I was a little girl in Virginia. Soon after my husband and I married we moved to North Florida and have been living here ever since. We live outside the state capital with our mini schnauzer Heidi and our six-toed calico cat Mittens. Our three granddaughters live near the Nation's capital and are the subject of most my scrapbook pages. I started making scrapbooks in middle school but stopped when our daughters were young. I started digital scrapbooking in 2006 when looking for a means to embellish my genealogy research with photos and family momentos. I do some design work, custom pages, and altered art as well as traditional scrapbooking layouts and participate on two designer creative teams. I've been working in Information Technology for the past 25 years and am currently working on a Masters Degree in Digital Security. I love all forms of arts and crafts and love mixing and matching media and techniques. Feel free to visit my E-scape and Scrap gallery or my blog, Crafting Rainbows, for more about my scrapbooking.

Roxi Hardegree
(Design and Creative Team Member)
Hi, I'm Roxi, a transplanted northerner to the beautiful plains of west Texas. I've been here a long time but still feel like I'm on vacation. I created my first photo collages in 2003 with Elements and discovered digital scrap-booking in 2006. I've been designing since 2007 and it's been a challenge not being able to 'touch' my work like I can with fabric. I love gardening, used to make art quilts and teach, cooking, and learning everything I can about Photoshop. My real job is being a hairstlylist 3 days a week (I have my own salon) and doing books for my husband, Blake's business. I love re-decorating my home and lately I've taken up learning photography the 'right way'.

Susanne aka Sus Designs

My name is Susanne aka Sus, and I am 31 years old (born 1979). I live in Denmark, with my husband Jacob and our beautiful son, Xander and also our two cats. In real life, am I studying to become an optometrist, and there isn't that much creativity in that, so I love that I can have a creative outlet.
I have been scrapping for about 5 years, it started with our wedding and an online search for ideas, it was then that I stumbled on scrapbooking. That quickly changed to digital scrapping since that doesn«t take up so much room. I have been designing from the start, at first with very little luck, but with a lot of practice I have gotten the hang of it, and my style is mostly sweet with a hint of wear and tear.

Betsy aka The busy Elf Designs

Betsy lives with her husband and a multitude of animals in a small town in Oregon. Their two girls are grown; one married and the other just out of college. So except for the noise from the animals (yes, there is a parrot involved!), its gotten pretty quiet. A perfect time for Betsy to get back in the creative swing. She has sold one of a kind designer dolls before and got into the digital world a couple of years ago. Now it is a rare day when you donÕt find her tapping away at her lap-top.
She spends her free time reading, taking photos, and playing with her new ÔBabyÕ, the pup ÔIndiana BonesÕ. She is a lover of all things sci-fi and fantasy and conversely anything antique. She is brimming with new ideas for Digital kits, that she canÕt wait to share with you!

Becky Alexander aka Lady Bug Designs
(Design Team Member)
My name is Becky and I'm a scrap-a-holic. I've been told that I have a creative side and that I should put it to good use. I love technology, so using the computer to create only made sense. Photoshop has unleashed my creative muse in so many different ways.
I have been married for 10 years and have 5 grown children from a blended family (3 are mine and 2 are my husband's). Together we have 8 beautiful grandchildren, They are the reason I began creating scrapbook layouts. It has become my way of preserving memories.
I moved from southern Ohio to Minnesota 10 years ago and wondered why I was doing this since I really don't like the cold! As it turns out, the long, cold, snowy winters give me the perfect reason to stay inside and create!

Rose Thorn
(Design Team Member)
Rose has been working with computer graphics and other computer software for a number of years, having worked in the computer industry since the 1980's. She discovered the digital scrapbooking community in January of 2008 after searching for a way to speed up her work in creating a genealogical scrapbook as a wedding gift for her niece.
She has loved color, fabric, paper, nature and photographs, especially old and historical ones, for as long as she can remember. Growing up with parents and an extended family with many artistic talents allowed her a great appreciation for all things creative. She has tried her hand at a variety of hand-crafts throughout her lifetime and enjoyed the process of most all she tried but with digital scrapbooking she feels that she's finally found her artistic niche; this is the one that feels right.
Married over 20 years, mother of 2, when she is not designing or digi-scrapping, she volunteers her time creating memory photo gifts and managing a web site for a non-profit group supporting bereaved parents.

Hi my name is Carissa and as you can see, I am in love with all animals, especially dolphins! I live in Sunny Florida and enjoy every day of my life taking in the gorgeous weather and beautiful wildlife all around! There is nothing like having Disney World, Sea World, and Universal Studios less then a half hour away to just go and spend a few hours of fun at! I have been paper scrapping for approximately 13 years and digital scrapping for just over a year! I was one that said I would never go digital... and well.. I did! I absolutely love it too! I love the ease of being able to work with digital imagery and erase things at my pleasure without worrying what it will do to the paper!!! I also love having the concept of being able to print digital elements onto transparencies and other papers to incorporate into my paper layouts.. so I guess I'm technicality hybrid, but really I just consider my self a scrapbooker!!!! My layouts usually always have to something on the topic of animals, nature, theme parks, vacations, or my nieces! I have the wonderful opportunity of volunteering with a humane society and animal sanctuary by taking photographs of their animals and also creating their websites. So having the digital world at my finger tips makes my whole life easier!

Hi everyone! My name is Barb Brookbank. I am a dedicated wife of 35 years, mother of 2 daughters, grandmother of 5 and a volunteer. I live in Alberta, Canada. IÕve tried every craft going but I love graphic design and have been dabbling in it for 15 years. Recently IÕve become passionate about perfecting my photography skills. I also love to cook, bake and make preserves.
In 2002 I started paper scrapping when my first grandchild was born. In 2005 I stumbled upon a digital scrapping site and was immediately intrigued. In 2009 I discovered an on-line digital scrapping community where I began to study Photoshop in earnest through their video tutorials. When I uploaded my first layout the adrenaline rush I experienced started an addiction I never even saw coming! I love being part of an on-line community, sharing ideas and learning from others. I feel very honoured to be a part of the E-scape Artist team and look forward to being part of your community.

I am a child of the 60's, one of six sisters (no brothers) and happy to have grown up during the best of times! Been married to Stan for 33 years and he's my best bud! We have four grown children, three sons and one daughter, that I am very proud of! Against all odds (kidding!), they grew up to be fine adults, all working in fields helping others, two nurses, one counselor and one high school teacher. Very proud Nana to two children, Kyndal is ten and Gavin is seven. They will be the subjects of many of my pages, although they are getting pretty good at ducking my camera! I never paper scrapped, and started digi scrapping about three years ago now. Once I started..I was addicted. It's therapeutic , fun and such a wonderful way to keep all those special memories from being lost in time. I love the artsy styles and the art journaling pages..they are so inspirational. Give me color and lots of it! It's a great form of expression and sometimes I make pages just for the "art" of it. Sometimes I have a photo that is just so special that I search for the perfect quote or poem or lyrics to go with it. I work full time and so look forward to retiring..hopefully in five years..sooner if at all possible! My time is split between my job, family, grands, and my Mom is still living..almost 87 years old now..so I try to spend more time with her. To make time for scrapping, I give up sleep! Worth every minute!!

Hi, I'm Lori. I live in Florida with my four kids, ages 16, 13, 11 and 9 (two boys and two girls). I had given up my career when my youngest was born and had the misfortune of having to go back to work right when the economy took a downturn and my marriage fell apart. Thanks to the generous support of my family, I was able to get back on my feet, find a good job, and now we're enjoying our new lives with a renewed appreciation for our many blessings. One of those blessings has been the digital scrapbooking community and the wonderful people who share their love of this art form. Scrapping is my relaxation, my stress relief when I start to feel overwhelmed. I'm so excited to have the opportunity to join this great team of talented designers and scrappers and can't wait to get to know everyone better.

Hi, I'm Doris, aka dmrdsm. I'm married and live in Iowa. Joined my first internet scrapbooking site in the spring of 2004 and have been hooked ever since.
Have enjoyed photography since I purchased my first 35mm film camera in the 70's, but I really love the technology available today. I enjoy fiddling around with Photoshop, my digital cameras and all of the toys that go along with the process.
Scrapbooking is a fun hobby. One day you may be making a layout for a coffee table book, the next day your making a birthday card for a friend and a gift for them to hang on their wall. The possibilities are endless, no matter what your skill level or age.
Interests are: Photoshop, Photography, Biking, Traveling, Gardening and Baking

Carol (aka JD's Mom)
(Creative Team Member)
Hi! My name is Carol, although most people know me by my screen name, ÒJDÕs Mom.Ó I started digi-scrapping in earnest in September 2009 and became addicted almost instantly. I still paper scrap from time to time, but digiÕs turned into an absolute obsession! At home, I have my awesome DH of almost 30 years and our equally-amazing 12-year-old son (whoÕs home-schooled by DH,) plus assorted cats and dogs, and all the accompanying critters that go along with living in a very rural area of South-Central Illinois. I work as a public service administrator for our stateÕs child welfare agency, which keeps me on the road quite a bit. When IÕm not scrapping, which is rare, I like altered art, gardening and Charlaine Harris novels. I am so grateful and honored to be with the creative team at E-scape and Scrap and IÕm looking forward to making new friends and growing as a digital scrapper.

Karla and her husband live in Upstate New York with their two boys. Karla fell in love with digital scrapbooking when she discovered paper scrapping with a toddler was next to impossible. She loved being able to create elaborate layouts without the fear of swallowed brads or elements! Digital scrapbooking soon became a passion with her favorite subjects being her family. Karla's creativity was fostered by her mom and her membership in 4-H as a child. She's been sewing and making needlecraft projects since the age of 9. Karla also loves her job as a reading teacher. She has the joy of helping a new crop of kindergarten and first graders become readers each school year.

My name is Danna (it's like Anna with a D at the front). I've been married for 13 years, and we have an awesome 3 1/2 year old girl (who is the main topic of my pages). I'm mainly a SAHM, but I do work part time editing commercials. I love music, photography, movies, karaoke, Rock Band, and of course, scrapping!
I've been scrapping for over 12 years, first in paper but when life got too hectic, I found I didn't scrap much at all. About a year ago, I tried digital and I finally was scrapping again! I liked that just a few clicks could do what used to take me a long time to do and best of all I could change my mind a lot. And even if I didn't have much time, I could do a little bit here and there.

Becky Morris has been paper scrapbooking since 2004 and started dabbling in digital in 2006. Her favorite subjects to scrap are her two amazing daughters, who are both in high school this year, and her many adventures on the theatrical stage both as a performer and the director of a non-profit children's theatre. Becky is 44 (but feels just 5!) and has been married to the same wonderful guy for 21 years. She also has a completely fabulous little doggy named Lil' Miss Muffit who just starred as Toto in our production of the Wizard of OZ. She makes her home at the foot of the Rockies in the great state of Wyoming.

I'm Mary Newman and I've been an artist ever since I could hold a crayon. At the age of three I remember using a black permanent marker on my mother's antique end table. My artistic mark on the end table has faded over the years, but not my love of creativity.
In college, I completed two years of a Graphic Design degree and then met my husband-to-be and got my Mrs. degree instead. Doug and I just celebrated our thirtieth wedding anniversary. We have two grown children and two grandchildren.
Over the years, I've used many artistic media, and while my children were small I enjoyed woodworking and tole painting. Besides digital scrapbooking my other interests include interior design, antiques and card making.
I was a traditional scrapbooker long before I was introduced to digital scrapbooking by my friend, Linda Sattgast, founder of scrappersguide.com. Linda offers monthly video tutorials that have expanded my digital skills. www.scrappersguide.com/premier/
I'm also a CT member for Christine Mortimer of Digilicious Designs.
I'm pleased to be joining Julie's CT and I look forward to what the next few months will bring.

Katie (aka sakura-panda)
(Creative Team Member)
My name is Katie, also known as Òsakura-pandaÓ. I am married to my almost-high-school-sweetheart (we started dating after our high school graduation) and we have three children and a beagle. I started scrapbooking (without realizing it at the time) when my friend took me to a sticker store and I discovered 12 inch albums and pretty paper. I fell in love with the idea of being able to crop my photos and arrange them in any way I wanted without being limited by the size and placement of pockets in an album.
I describe my style as clean and balanced; my goal is to show off my family, more than the pictures or techinique, so that my layouts are often photo heavy, simply designed and with limited journaling. While I do not do any ÒhybridÓ scrapping, I do equal amounts of digital and paper. For me, they are separate techniques with separate purposes Ð paper scrapping (using photos from several years ago) is for meeting up with friends and digital (using photos from now) is for printing into books to share with family.
