Julie Mead
(owner and designer of www.e-scapeandscrap.net)
Julie has a passion for creating. From her garden to her sketch pad, from the kitchen to her camera, she enjoys the process of creating at all levels. Julie has also been fascinated with technology and all the cool things it can do for her. Combining these two passions, creating and computer technology, has led her to discover the joy of digital scrapbooking. Julie began paper scrapping 10 years ago to capture the joys her children brought into her life. During the fall of 2003 she picked up a magazine that talked about a new hobby, digiscrapping. After surfing many sites, Julie discovered that she had a passion for this new and interesting hobby. Then, during the summer of 2004 her mind began to turn to thoughts of creating her own backgrounds and elements. She developed her first CD called "Julie Mead's From Girly to Grungy" and began to research how to promote her first product. On a whim, she decided to open her own website and see if she could sell her products online. Julie gave herself one year to see if her new site, E-scape and Scrap, would be a success. She has been thrilled at the the reception her online boutique has recieved in the digital scrapping world. But more importantly, she has enjoyed meeting people from around the world, many have become friends she keeps in close contact. The year, 2009, will mark the beginning of E-scape and Scrap's sixth year in business.
Julie has 2 grown children, a daughter and a son, and one grandson. She has been married to her husband for 30 years. Her family loves to get together as often as possible. Julie is a full-time kindergarten teacher in her small rural community. Running her online boutique is a challenge but one that she thorougly enjoys. You can also find her designs at www.acherryontop.com and www.cottagearts.net . She was part of a team of designers that created a memory book for the TV show, Extreme Makeover: Home Edition. Her work has been published in numerous magazines. She has also had an article published in the Digital Scrapbooking Magazine. In the summer of 2005 she was a featured digital artist in the magazine, Simply Sentiments.
Julie currently serves on the advisory board for Scrapbook Dimensions Magazine, where digital and paper come together as hybrid scrapping. Julie also writes photography editing programs in Photoshop for Artisan's Notebook, an online magazine available at the E-scape and Scrap Boutique.---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Kay Eflin
(design team member)
Kay and collage were meant for each other combining years of creative hobbies into one expressionÑdigital scrapbooks. She discovered digital when converting 35mm slides into photos for her daughterÕs surprise birthday album. She prefers the paper scrap look in both her design work and digital layouts. Kay loves scrapping heritage photos of family because they have a tie to the past, and the pictures of her grandchildren point to the future. When Kay lost her husband suddenly, she began scrapping and journaling immediately to help her through the grieving process and discovered a way to assist others in honoring their loved ones. As a digital designer, sheÕs an idea person and works well in a team where she contributes to the overall success of a project. Kay is the proud mother of three adult children and four grandchildren. Her company, Kollage by Kay, creates digital scrapbooks for local clients and has become a satisfying home-based business. Her two daughters, Pam and Sarah, both share her love of scrapbooking and often contribute to her creative efforts. Her hobbies include reading, travel, creative writing and enjoying the beautiful mountains near her home in Denver.

Karen Aicken
(designer and creative team member)
Karen's Blog: www.alteredscrapbooking.com
Karen Aicken has been involved in the paper arts for over 19 years. She is an avid rubber stamper (still her first crafting love), started digital scrapbooking in the summer of 2004 Ð and hasnÕt looked back since. Karen loves the freedom it allows, the fact that there is no mess to clean up, and no scraps to deal with (since she hates to throw out paper bits, and has a huge stash in her studio). She never likes to use up that Ôlast piece of pretty paperÕ on a project, in case a different project would make better use of it. With digital, you never run out of that paper Ð so Karen uses more layers and papers than she ever did with her paper scrapbooking. Not worrying about Ôrunning outÕ has really changed her creative focus, and she describes it as Òextremely freeing for meÓ. Her line of "Altered Fragment Digital Stamps and Brushes" evolved so she can continue with her stamping arts in this exciting medium of digital.
Karen is a mother to 3 grown kids, and has a very supportive husband of 27 years. He built her a wonderful studio to house her rubber stamp collection and paper supplies! They have 2 dogs, and enjoy camping in the beautiful Rocky Mountains during the summer months in Alberta (Canada) where they live.
Visit Karen at her inspiring blog, which she updates several times a week: www.alteredscrapbooking.com

Pam Healy
(creative team member)
This Colorado native began paper scrapping nine years ago, but when she latched on to her mother's enthusiasm for a new hobby her mom had found, Pam quickly discovered the fun of digital scrapping instead. Although she doesn't paper scrap anymore, her style leans towards the paper style with clean lines--all layouts are created using DIP9. Pam recently pursued a long-time dream to learn floral design--she was trained this past fall and in December became certified as a designer. She now hopes to develop her skills with part time work. In the meantime, Pam continues to work for a library district where she's been employed for eighteen years. Other areas of interest for her are museums, local history, and ice hockey (as a spectator!) And of course, she loves being an auntie to Tess, Noah, Lacey, and Reece!

Erica Nunez
(creative team member)
Erica Jessica Nunez, 35 yrs old (12/28/1971), married to Pablo since November 2001; with three little angels, Francisco 8, Marina 6, Emily 4, She lives in Miami Lakes , Florida.
She was born in Guayaquil, Ecuador. While living there she worked for 10 years as an assistant manager in a company that sells generators and engines. While working there she met her husband. Shortly after that she came to the USA on March 10, 2002.
She has been digiscrapping since January 2005, but before that she was a paper scrapper. She developed this hobby when her sister-in-law, who was at the time a consultant for a scrapbooking company, gave her a present for her upcoming baby girl, Emily. It was a mini kit to make a little album, and she hooked up with paper for a while.
After doing some research on the computer about die cuts and new backgrounds she discovered a web site with the words DIGITAL SCRAPBOOKING. It immediately caught her attention and she started reading and checking other sites. That's how her real passion was born. She didn't have any previous experience designing layouts on the computer , but she taught herself and did a lot of reaading and researching. She started designing with Microsoft Picture it 7.0, and a new hobby began. Right now she only designs with Microsoft digital Image Suite Edition 2006. It was an experience that she'll never forget. Her style is very simple and free. She likes to get her inspiration for a layout with the kit itself by using the colors or with the pictures too. For her, designing layouts is her PASSION.

Judy Wolfram
(creative team member)
Judy and her husband Eric live in Texas and have two grown sons who are both married, one with a son and the other with a daughter. After several years of designing cards and invitations, Judy discovered the world of digital scrapbooking. It was a natural fit. Her favorite subjects include her family (especially the grandchildren!), her dogs and granddogs, and nature and travel scenes. She also loves the use of Scripture and other quotes to encourage people. While busy scrapping the grandchildren now, she hopes to one day get albums done of her children while they were growing up.

Lisa Campbell
(creative team member)
Starting digital scrapping in June of 2005, after deciding to start paper scrapping and accidently picking up a digital scrapping magazine, Lisa (aka scoobie81) never even got out the paper supplies she had purchased! Lisa prefers simple, uncluttered layouts and works to try new techniques as well as some artsy looks.
Lisa's originally from Montana and now resides outside of Seattle, WA with her husband of 32 years. Her 2 children have provided her with 3 grandchildren (and 3 extended grandkids) that give her lots of material for scrapping! Always being creative, she's done all forms of painting, pottery, stained glass, ceramics, needle crafts, and sewing since 9 years old. Besides the creative side, Lisa also rides her Arabians, scuba dives, bike rides, loves to read and travel. She's been a real estate broker for many years and is currently also working on an e-commerce project.

Lynn Weber
(creative team member)
Lynn is a hobby person. Through the years she has dabbled in a multitude of arts and crafts-quilting, furniture refinishing, cake decorating, candlemaking, counted cross-stitch, knitting, macramŽ (remember that?) quilling, all kinds of sewing, photo developing, paintingÉwell, you get the idea! She began paper scrapping about twelve years ago but, when she discovered digital scrapping in November of 2004, all the other hobbies were forgotten! Most of her layouts have a paper scrapped look but she likes to try new things too. She uses PSCS3 to do her design work.
Lynn has been married to Dick for 40 years! They have five grown children and eight grandchildren, none of whom live in their state, Ohio, so they travel a lot! Her laptop accompanies her all around the country so she can keep up with her scrapping! Her husband is American and Australian (the best of both worlds!) They live in a small coastal town with a small population, They spend most of their free time in the great outdoors enjoying the beautiful coast. Everything they do involves water such as fishing, diving, and just being lazy on the beach. Egle Noel
(creative team member)
Hi. I am Egle (aka FairyMouseMom). I have lived in the Midwest my whole life. I scrap about and for my family (which includes my two beautiful children) and friends and even myself!
Nowadays, I am a digital scrapbooker! I have only made 3 paper and 1 hybrid layouts since I started digital scrapping on Mother's Day weekend 2006, using Adobe Photoshop PSE 3.0 (Macs). I did so because I wanted to try out and learn something new. Now I can say I am happily adjusting to using PSE 6.0 (Macs).
I have been published twice: once online in a scrapbooking magazine and once in a book, Digi-Scrappin' 103: Designing With Fonts (No. 5319), Page 22, "We Are Family."
I love compiling quotes to read and use on layouts. One of my favorites is: "Things Happen For A Reason." I have had many changes happen in my life lately that has really made me hold on to believing that.

Ruth Davis
(designer and creative team member)
I love art. All forms. I love to paint and pencil sketch, however both of these have really taken a back seat to digital art. I do still dabble and I like to incorporate my art into my digital creations. The day that I googled "digital scrapping" is a day that really changed my life. Quickly addicted, I began pouring myself into layouts. Layouts about my children, layouts about my past, layouts about me. Little did I know, that this would become a journey of self discovery, inner strength and freedom. Little did I know, that I would become a designer through wonderful support and encouragement from members of this fantastic team. And, little did I know, that I would create strong and true friendships. Grateful, I am.

Terry Noonan
(creative team member)
Hi every one. I live in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada and have been married for 21 years to my wonderful husband, Ken. I have two children Dylan and Brittney. I worked for 15 years as a Medical Laboratory Technologist and am now a SAHM. Being at home allowed me to dabble in many crafts but I found my passion when I bought a copy of PSE3. Originally I wanted to improve my photos for slide shows I created but soon realized artistic aspects of the program. In the fall of 2006 I discovered digital scrapbooking and was hooked. I love being able to showcase my photography in layouts and love the artistic expression it provides. I have had an article published in the Photoshop Elements Techniques (Vol 4 No. 3) and am currently working on another article to be published later in the year. I regret that I didnÕt know about this when my children were little; they are now teenagers so getting pictures of them is challenging.

Well I am a paper scrapper at heart, but I LOVE digi and have been addicted since July 06 when my sister got me started and introduced me to it! I'm also a part of the wonderful digi CT over at A Cherry On Top since May 07.
I have been in the Navy since Jan 1991 and looking to retire in 2011 to Portland OR (where DH's family lives). I've been to quite a few places and landed in Oak Harbor WA (where I am currently stationed).I am a Navy Corpsman 1st, but a lab tech by trade and since leaving the lab about a year ago, I am working in the patient admissions dept (by my choice) and really like it, nice change of pace for me...
I have 4 great kids (most of the time!)...DD Sam (14) DS Ben (6) DD Abby Lou (18 mos) and little Peyton (5 weeks)...so if you're wondering, I am DONE...at almost 37 (b-day 8/27/70) I don't think I can do it anymore! DH and I have been married since Dec 19, 1992.
Most of my LO's are of little Abby Lou and now Peyton...it's not that I am neglecting my other children, they don't seem to like the camera too well, but when I can catch them, I do scrap them...if you check out my gallery you will see all of them!
I LOVE (Prima) flowers, eyelets and brads whether I am paper or digi scrapping! I also scrap mostly 12 x 12 unless it is a gift album...
While stationed in Sigonella Italy from 2000 to 2003, my son was born there and has dual citizenship and traveled to some of the best parts of the world...Rome, Floerence, Tuscany, London, Stonehenge, Paris and of coarse around Sicily...and if I could go back, I would jump at the chance tomorrow! Hope to one day get the millions of pictures I took scrapped from over there!!! Until then I will be working on my yearly albums and the 500 pictures I just took on our trip to Disney in March 2007!

Carol Opalinski
(creative team member)
Carol and her husband, John, live in Chattanooga, TN. They have two sons, Alex, a student at Middle Tennessee State University and Michael, a high school student. They also have two cats, Kitty and Ping, who are often the subject of Carol's photos and layouts as they are slightly more cooperative than her sons. Carol started digiscrapping two years ago with a Scrap Book program from Walmart and was instantly hooked but outgrew the program in less than a month. At the urging of her sons she began learning Photoshop, an ongoing process to this day. Albeit with a little less head banging than in the beginning. Besides her family and digiscrapping, Carol's other interests include photography, cross stitching and folk art painting. To help support her crafting habits, Carol works part time as an administrative assistant in a small United Methodist church.

(design team member)
I'm a 37 year old mom of 3 terrific boys. My wonderful husband and I have been married for 11 years. We live in Kansas, but I still have a lot of family who resides in Pennsylvania. I am an animal lover almost to a fault. My husband knows I can't turn any animal away, so we tend to accumulate critters and take care of them until we find them suitable homes. Right now we have a dog, 3 cats and a ferret. We enjoy watching the wildlife in our backyard too.
In 2004, I purchased Photoshop with the intent of making backdrops for my kids photos. It wasn't long after that I was introduced to something called "digital scrapbooking". I was instantly hooked from that moment on. I started making my own designs in 2005 and upgraded to PSCS2 a year ago.
My style is more on the realistic/vintage side, but I do venture into other styles as my tastes change and I find new things I like. When I'm not designing or making layouts, I'm spending time with my family. I use every chance I get to take pictures of my kids, nature and landscapes. I purchased a Canon Rebel XT at the end of 2007, so I have been experimenting with different settings and new techniques. I feel I am growing in the photography area even if it's at a slow rate. In addition to being part of the family here at Nifty Boutique, I also maintain my own website Digital Resource Heaven.
One of the things I find truely amazing is that I have made so many friends though the digital scrapbooking community. I have even met a few of them in person! It has been such a rewarding experience for me.

I have been digiscrapping since 2003 and decorated my photo albums before I knew they called it scrapping.
In September 2006 I discovered all the sites on the internet and found wonderful friends.
From that moment everything went fast, I joined a few CT's and in January 2007 then I put my first kit in a Dutch shop.
I love to work with computers and be creative. I always have a thousand ideas
I love reading, writing and gardening. I find lots of things interesting and I never feel bored.
I hope you have some fun with my kits, I sure had fun making them.

I'm Karen, 52 mom of 4- Heather 29, Tammi 27, Robbie 25, Jayson12...we also have 5 grands with another due in March! I am happily
married to the love of my life, my rock and caregiver Jon. We live in Phoenix, AZ. and yes it is a dry heat! LOL.In my spare time I love

I have been a scrapper since pregnant with Jayson back in 96. I was a paperholic back in the day but then in 2002 we were involved in a
hit and run motorcycle accident that left me a paraplegic. After a 7 mo stay in the hospital I came home and needed something to do while
recouping and getting used to a new lifestyle. I began searching online for crafts/scrapbook trends and discovered digi-scrapping! and
the rest they say is history! I LOVE the friendliness and helpfulness of the scrapping community! I've made some great friends along the way and look forward to this new adventure!
If anyone has any questions about myself , injuries or scrapping related- ask away! Nothing is off limits- well we might have 1 or 3
that are but we're an open book and I love to talk/type!!! I am really excited to be part of the team here, working with
and getting to know each of you.

I admit to being addicted to designing digital kits. I began paper scrapbooking in 1996. After discovering digital scrapbooking in 2003, I've never gone back to paper.
I particularly like designing with florals. After my mother passed away in December of 2007, my thoughts and most of my creations turned toward the heritage theme.
I discovered through my mother's death that I wanted to leave a legacy for my children and grandchildren. I want them to know who they are and where they came from.
I'm a wife, mother, and grandmother. I went back to school after my youngest graduated highschool and now have my LPN license. I work in a nursing home and enjoy taking care of the elderly. My husband and I live in the small village of Leetonia in Northeast Ohio, close to the Pennsylvania border. I have 3 grown children and 4 grandchildren, all boys, no girls YET.
I love animals and have never been without a pet throughout my entire life. My husband and I are "Mom" and "Pop" to 2 dogs (Boo and Boss) and 1 cat (JC).
I also enjoy cooking, gardening, reading, photography, and woodworking.

I used to work as a social assistant in one sheltered workshop before my maternity leave.
Scrapbook is my hobby for 3 years. I began with scrapbooking when I become full time mother on my maternity leave . It began with creating layouts at first but than I started to create kits. It is a kind of relaxation for me.

I discovered digiscrapping 2 1/2 years ago and was instantly addicted. I was CT for an individual for about 2 months, then joined the CT at a scrapbooking site. I was lucky enough to get into a designer mentoring program and have been designing now for a little over a year. I love putting kits together, but I always make sure I have the time to get my own layouts done! I've never paper scrapped - the thought of all the supplies I'd have to get was so overwhelming! I've dabbled in just about every craft that has come along over the years. I've painted many sweatshirts, macrame, cross stitch... I still have lots of unfinished crafts in my "junk room". I love to crochet and am an avid reader. I'm also a genealogist and the family photographer.
I've been married for 18 years to my wonderful husband, Chris. I have 2 daughters. Ashley is 25 and married. She's given me 2 beautiful granddaughters and my grandson is due in July! Katie is 13 and just finished up the 7th grade. They all give me lots of scrapping opportunities! We're animal lovers - we have a mustang my husband adopted many years ago, 5 dogs and some barn cats. I work outside the home full time at an aluminum factory. We have a cabin on the river where we spend lots of time when the weather permits. We enjoy tubing, playing on the sandbars, going out on the pontoon or jon boat and riding the jet ski. Trust me, there are not enough hours in the day!

My name is Laura, screenname Art_Teacher. I have been paper scrapbooking for 14 years and digi scrapping for 3 years. I consider myself bi-scraptual, because I can never give up my art supplies! I am currently on the digi CT at A Cherry On Top and I am thrilled to be on the CT here at E-scape and Scrap! My favorite scrappy subjects are my spoiled golden doodle, Paisley, and my family. I have been married to my dh, Mike, for the past 19 years, and we have no children, but my teaching high school art for the past 16 years keeps me very busy with lots of kids. When I am not scrapbooking, I like to read romance and mystery novels, listen to a variety of music, watch way too much television and too many movies, and cook. I also spend too much time on the computer, where I have met so many new scrappy friends! Someday, I hope to actually catch up to my photos, but since I am a snap-happy camera-toter, that probably won’t be anytime soon!

I am a SAHM (Stay At Home Mom) of two wonderful teenagers, DS (Darling Son) is 16 and DD (Darling Daughter) is 14. I started paper scrapping in August of 2007 because I wanted to keep all of DSÕs Football memories for him. Once I got started I was hooked. I bought everything in sight!
I completed my first Real Digi Layout in May of 2008 and I was instantly addicted. I've now converted to digi only. I mostly scrap my DD because she will pose for me on a whim. On the other hand, I have to fight DS for a pic, though he is getting better about it.....if I beg! I am a Lab Tech by trade but recently left my job to be at home with my kids for awhile. DH and I have been together for over 18 years now, I did marry the boy from next door. We have two German Shepherds, Pooch and Black Jack, Bella our house puppy, a mutt named Mia and a tomcat named Patches. I truly enjoy all forms of scrapping paper, digital, and hybrid. I am a member of 2 other design teams, Kreations for Kami (digital), and Amy Teets Designs (digital/Hydrid). I've held many guest CT spots and really enjoy the friends I've made though scrapping. As I dive deeper and deeper in to the digi world I've found a love for taking photos and even dabble in designing. I have to say that digi scrapping is my "calgon" to take my stress away.

I love to travel which is great with my husband in the Army. I have a passion for taking pictures and have since middle school. Once I got pregnant with my son I started paper scrapping. I love to try anything once and have a rather eclectic style. I've been digital scrapping since about April 08, though I tried a few times before that. I love the ablity to scrap anywhere I have my laptop with me, with no mess or worry about the kids. I've also started doing some hybrid stuff since I still love paper scrapping. I enjoy scrapping over our travels and anything to do with my family.

Laura Burger
(design team member)
My name is Laura Burger and I am a digi-aholic. Actually I have been scrapbooking about 15 years. 9 of those years were with paper products. One day I realized the supplies and albums were growing faster than I could keep up with. I was seriously thinking I would have to add to the house to hold all of this stuff. So I finally tried digital and once I did my first layout, the second one got easier and I was on a roll, and I havenÕt looked back a moment.
I am married to a very supportive man, John, when it comes to my passion in digital. We run a home based business working with appliance repairs and custom installations. That keeps both of us very busy. We have two grown adult children that we are so very proud of. Living with us are two wacky dogs, RayCor and Spirit, and two lazy cats, Tinkerbell and Tooie. Between the animals and our country living on 2 1Ú2 acres of land, we keep very busy around the property.
Glad to be here at the site and to get to know a few of you a bit better!

Hi, my name is Sandra and I live in NYC with my husband and 8 year old son. I have lived in NY my entire life and love raising my son here. My husband is a New Zealander who fortunately loves NY also. In our free time my family loves to travel together.
I have always had a love of crafting including cross stitching, jewelry making and rubber stamping. I have been scrapbooking for about 5 years. A year ago I discovered digital scrapbooking and have been completely hooked since. I still love paper scrapping and split my time between digital and paper. I also enjoy making cards and invitations.
I am an the CT for a couple of other designers and am thrilled to join the CT here with Julie.

Sandy Lewis
(creative team member)
Hi, my name is Sandy and I live in Southeastern CT with my husband. I have two adult sons that I adore! Matt lives with me and Greg lives in NH with his lovely girlfriend, Ruby. I have 2 dogs, Jake and Sammy, and I have 3 cats that I adopted at 6 days old. Their names are Abbey, Emily and Isis and they are 3 years old now.
I have been drawing and writing for most of my life. I began scrapbooking after a trip to MichaelÕs one weekend 4 years ago, and I never looked back. I only wish I had known about scrapping when my boys were babies. About 2 years ago, I started digital scrapping and it is now my favorite Òcrafty thingÓ to do. I will never give up my paper supplies, as it is still fun to sit down and play with it. I also enjoy photography, knitting, writing poetry and making jewelry.
I am on two other Creative Teams and I am overjoyed that Julie invited me to be on her CT.

Tania Ruiz
(creative team member)
My name is Tania, screen name koala1966. I live in hot and sunny central Florida. I have been paper-scrapping for 10 years and digi-scrapping for 3. I'm addicted to both! I work full time with computers and I need the creative outlet that scrapbooking allows in order to unwind. I was blessed to discover my true love in high school and we have been together for 19 years. We celebrated our 10 year wedding anniversary this year. My husband and I love to travel and our vacations are often highlighted in my scrapbook pages, along with my nieces and nephews, friends and family. When Im not working, scrapbooking, or traveling, I love to read, research my family history, visit theme parks, and watch movies. I am the official photographer for my family (including my in-laws) and keep everyone up to date with each other via a family website. Im also a member of Katie the Scrapbook Ladys CT.

I'm a sort-of SAHM to 2 little girls, ages 4 &3. I've been married to my junior-high school sweetheart for 5 years now, and love to read, hang out with family & listen to music when not holed up in the the Craft Room. I was born & raised in Central California, and have never left. I live 10 minutes from my parents & in-laws, and love it. I've been paper scrapping for as long as I can remember, but got into digital a little over a year ago. I've now found my love with scrapbooking: hybrid. I don't have to choose between the 2 anymore!!

Bernadette Hunt
(design team member)
My name is Bernadette but most people call me just 'B'. I met my DH later in life, so we don't have any children, but my two gorgeous cats have adopted him and love him as much as I do, LOL. I have 2 grown up nieces, and 2 little nephews who live in Australia, and a great nephew, so I am also known as Aunt B!
I have been an avid crafter for many years, I've tried everything from picture framing to jewelery making. I still make cards and I started paper scrapping in June 2005 with the aim of doing my own wedding album. I quickly discovered digi though and needless to say I got hooked. I did do my album but it became a little more digi than paper! It wasn't long before I started dabbling in designing and I just love it.
